Position Summary:
The Production Leader will accomplish
manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning,
monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching and counseling employees;
initiating, coordinating and assuring compliance of systems, policies, and
procedures. The Production leader will focus on optimizing
productivity, ensuring high quality standards, and implementing continuous
improvement strategies to enhance, safety, efficiency and product quality.
The
incumbent will live the corporate values of treating people with dignity and

Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Mentor and guide direct reports, including operators, floor leaders, and material handlers.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the direct reports.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Effectively execute the production schedule on assigned shift.
- Facilitate and support safety management and safety enhancement activities on the factory floor.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement on the factory floor to achieve key metrics
- Analyze current production processes through data to identify areas for improvement in quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain a presence on the shop floor and provide effective communication with staff
- Work to assure an effective transition between shifts and efficient coordination and collaboration between departments.
- Resolve material outages and discrepancies on assigned shift.
- Proper and timely disposition of resources.
- Assure accurate and timely reporting.
- Resolve personnel problems by investigating the issue, identifying solutions, and implementing appropriate action with assistance from the Production Manager and HR when appropriate.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively resolve production problems on assigned shift.
- Effectively garner and assign appropriate resources to resolve immediate issues on the shift.
- Ensure standard manufacturing operating procedures are adhered to quality systems and work instructions, specific product requirements, and manufacturing parameters.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel about housekeeping standards on the shift, 6S principles, and workplace organization.
- Assist with new employee onboarding and evaluations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate degree in supervisory management or relevant experience.
- Minimum 1-3 years of previous manufacturing experience in supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to foster and support change management at the manufacturing level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with competing deadlines.
- Ability to act with urgency.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- 40+ hours per week.
- Indoor, office and plant manufacturing work environment.
- Plant manufacturing may experience warm temperatures.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Minimal lifting, up to 50 lbs. Bending, reaching, standing, walking.
- Plant manufacturing work environment requires PPE of safety toe shoes, protective eye wear, and hearing protection.
- Other plant manufacturing task may require additional PPE.
